Shania Twain gets 2,442nd Hollywood Walk of Fame:
45 years old, Canadian country music singer-songwriter Eilleen Regina Edwards popularly known as Shania Twain is going to be honoured as 2,442nd Hollywood Walk of Fame star. She will receive the star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at a ceremony to be held be on June 2, 2011 and it will be Presented by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. The unveiling of her very own star will take in front of Hollywood’s W hotel next week.
“10” star, actress Bo Derek will do the duties of guest speaker and hand over the prestigious honour. Her album "Come on Over" which was released in 1997, has sold over 40 million copies being the 9th best-selling album in the U.S. making it the best-selling country LP ("Long playing" phonograph record) of all time. Now she is very much busy with her new TV series “Why Not? With Shania Twain" that premiered on the OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network on May 8, 2011, releasing her autobiography “From This Moment On” and previewing her 1st new single in 6 years, called "Today (Is Your Day)" on the premier episode of her TV show.
Shania twain, another name Eilleen Twain (1967-1992) was born in August 28, 1965 in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. She became widely known in the mid 1990s with her 2nd album The Woman in Me (1995). The first "Shania Twain" was relesed in 1993 and 3rd and 4th albums are "Come On Over 1997", the success of what has already been stated, and "UP! 2002" respectively.
