The former “Baywatch” star Pamela Anderson will play the Virgin Mary in Canadian television's (CTV) show on Nativity story "A Russell Peters Christmas," the Canadian network announced Monday. It's a little bit surprising to get her for such role of holy personality as this frequent "Playboy" Playmate earned a great deal of notoriety for a homemade sex tape with Tommy Lee, as well as several nude photo shoots.
Pamela said, "it was funny and light-hearted and I thought it would be perfect because it's funny that I'm on stage at all!" The special, which will be hosted by comedian Russell Peters, will deliver "an irreverent twist on the Christmas special making it unlike anything viewers have seen before."
Australian funnyman Russel will portray Joseph in the festive sketch. Other guests who will appear in the 60-minute transmission include crooner Michael Buble, 'The Love Boat' star Ted Lange, a.k.a. Isaac from “The Love Boat,” Scott Thompson and comedian Job Lovitz. "A Russell Peters Christmas" will be broadcast on December 1 at 9 p.m. EST on CTV.
