Elizabeth Maresal Mitchell better known as Elizabeth Banks is passing an excellent year. The most exciting day she would ever remember is the birth of her son Felix via gestational host (surrogate) by her husband Max Handelman (2003–present), her her boyfriend since she met him on her first day at college, in March.
She is filming in the plum role of Effie Trinket in the "The Hunger Games," the most anticipated new franchise in the film industry directed by Gary Ross. The film is based on the novel of the same name by Suzanne Collins and in the film she is co-stared by Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth etc.
The next she is starring in the role of Mirnda in the new neurotic comedy movie "Our Idiot Brother," released on August 26, with longtime pal and frequent co-star Paul Rudd, Zooey Deschanel, Rashida Jones and Emily Mortimer.
The last but not the least, she is is nominated for Emmy Award for her role as Avery Jessup in the television show "30 Rock" (2010-present) for the category of Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series. In an interview with PARADE, when asked about her contestant Tina Fey for the same category, she said about the nomination, “No, I forgot about that actually. I can't win my category. [My character Avery Jessup] has great lines and she truly is an amazing character so I'm very grateful, but I don't think I can win.”
