Rebecca Black, 14 years old YouTube sensation that drew criticism for her song 'Friday' hit up the 'America’s Got Talent' YouTube show. Black recorded the a ditty called "Friday" and Youtube released it in March 14, 2011. It wouldn’t be an America’s Got Talent YouTube show if viral sensation Rebecca Black didn’t show up for the party wednesday night.
While her performance was short, we were pretty entertained and she was not half bad. When it was thought that the chance was going away Rebecca Black’s 'Friday' pops back in courtesy of America’s Got Talent. The cute little teenager sang 'My Moment' and 'Friday' as part of the show’s celebration to all things YouTube.
Rebecca Black recently revealed that she was bullied out of school, saying, “When I walk by, they’ll start singing Friday in a really nasally voice… Or, you know, they’ll be like, ‘oh hey, Rebecca, guess what day it is?’” Black’s mom Georgina Marquez, a teacher, agreed to take the teenager out of school because of the mean students. Additionally, Marquez didn’t want the taunting to distract Black from singing. “She certainly did not need that kind of pressure,” Marquez said.
Black is lucky to have fellow pop sensations Katy Perry and Lady Gaga are on her side. This year, Perry paid an homage to “Friday” by inviting the fellow California girl to appear in the 26-year-old’s music video for “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.).” Lady Gaga defends her from public criticism saying “I say Rebecca Black is a genius, and anyone that says she is cheesy is full of s**t.” Recently She’s got a new video for her song 'My Moment.'
